Recently, I have had the great fortune to be invited to Natasha’s Studio (The Photo House Studio) to spend some time with and photograph this beautiful woman.
We did a mixture of portraiture and Fine Art Nude images.
Here are a few examples from the day illustrating what a fabulous Fine Art Nude model Natasha is.
Back in the studio and what a fantastic day I had too.
There is nothing nicer than working with a model who you have never worked with before and finding the whole experience so enjoyable.
Initially I booked Misuzu to help me recreate an image I had seen in Cordoba a couple of weeks ago but she was so good at “throwing” wonderful geometric shapes we spent most of the time doing that – she was such a joy to photograph.
A couple of quick edits from today….. more to come 🙂
Super excited to announce that I will be working alongside fellow PAGB Master Ross McKelvey to joint host a studio/creative editing workshop on Saturday and Sunday 15th & 16th October 2016 in Belfast.
The day will begin with a very informative studio shoot featuring 2 beautiful and experienced models (and some of my unique costumes) – then after lunch we will get creative 🙂
Both Ross and I have lots of experience in running our own workshops and I think its fair to say that quite a number of delegates who have attended one (or more) of our workshops have had images that have gone on to win awards both nationally and internationally.
So, if you want any further information please contact me via the form below and I will give you more info…… by the way, there are limited places and they are going VERY VERY fast
PS I will also be around on Monday 17th & 18th October in the Belfast area so if you would like to book some time with me for an individual creative post processing session please contact me ASAP using the contact form below
Here are a few more from the shoot I did with Stephanie a couple days ago.
How lucky am I that Stephanie lives in the same town as me 🙂
Yesterday all of the elements came together to enable me to produce some pictures I have been desperate to produce for many MANY months !
In order that I could achieve the images I had in my mind the conditions had to be “right” – not too windy, not too calm, not too wet, not too boggy underfoot, not too overcast…. yeah you get the idea.
I also wanted bluebells because it complimented the material… so you can imagine how long I have waited !
But yesterday was just right and I got my outside shots. Here are a few that I have processed and there a lots more waiting to be worked on.
I also had the opportunity of photographing Stephanie in the studio too and the resulting portraits were equally as pleasing.
Thanks British weather- especially the lovely breeze and the equally lovely Stephanie 🙂
Today I have been in my studio photographing the very lovely Stephanie Dubois – we also photographed outside…. but that’s another story and set of images.
We both had a super time even though we ended up getting nettled (Stephanie more than me though)
Here is the first portrait hot off the press… lots more to come
Todays creative portrait is of the very lovely Raphaella – I have tried to give it a romantic dreamy feeling.
Yesterday, after posting some of the “paintings” I did last year using Corel Painter I was inspired to get going with it again.
I can’t tell you how much I enjoy this way of producing images and have been doodling all day familiarising myself with the various brushes and papers.
Incredibly, it has been over 6 months since I last used Corel Painter so I am now clearing the decks and I’m going to see how far I can push the photographic/conventional art boundaries.
This is my first painting for over 6 months – not great … but at least its a start again
Will keep you posted with my progress 🙂
The photographic session last week has resulted in quite a number of images featuring the lovley Sarah (Model) and the make up magic of Melanie and I have called the whole set The Secret Garden – I have to say that I am thrilled with the results (thus far)
I have put together a few from the set and will continue to work on the other pictures to produce a whole series themed around The Secret Garden.
The pictures will be form part of an exhibition in a local Gallery and I can’t wait to see them gracing the walls 🙂
Thanks for all of your lovely comments – they are much appreciated x
Here is the latest picture from the recent shoot with Melanie Doyle and Sarah Reed
It’s so rewarding working with like minded people who go the extra mile to achieve the “shot” that is lurking somewhere in the back of my mind – both Melanie & Sarah were and are a dream to work with and be around.
I think I am going to call this “The Secret Garden” unless I think of a Queenly title – thought of Queen Of The Fairies… but should she have wings??
There are lots more to come from this shoot and its spawned more ideas for future themes 🙂
