For the past few months I have been using Corel Painter to enable me to produce various painterly images… and, I have to say, I have loved every minute.
None of the resulting pictures would be acceptable in the Amateur Photographic Competition World (BPE, FIAP, PSA etc) but as I am entering fewer and fewer of them these days, that’s not much of a problem for me. To begin with I found Corel Painter to be a little difficult to work with (I have been dabbling with it for the past 5 or so years) but after persevering I finally got my head round the various tools and functions and can now produce images that I am happy with.
However, last night I thought I would do “something creative” via Photoshop….. and below is the resulting image. I used a picture from a model studio shoot I did last year and the background is from one of my many MANY textures (I have hundreds them)and finally I also added some of my painted trees. I really enjoyed revisiting Photoshop although it took me a little while to get used to where everything was 🙂
Photoshop and Corel Painter enables me to be creative and produce the kind of images that appeal to me – if others like them too, well that’s a bonus 🙂
